    • Thank you for thinking of how to help!

MRFY needs funds to pay for the handout that is distributed at showings of the film.

We also need funds for those things that can make the difference between good day and a bad day for a youth. Things like a hair cut, a bus pass, a State ID card or a meal.

Eventually MRFY plans to support youth and families who house them with small stipends, MRFY hopes to raise funds for the new shelter that YSOSW is including in their new building and we’d love to have a mentor program and a transitional living program. The wish list it long!

In the mean time, Youth Services of Southern Wisconsin will take donations of clothing that would be appropriate for teens. You may also volunteer your time at YSOSW or the Salvation Army family shelter, the YWCA or The Road Home.

  1. I was forwarded your video through the Lowell Home and School Association listserv. I was very moved by the stories shared by Shanon and Jared, and their incredible self awareness, compassion and insight; they are amazing kids and I wish them both the very best. Excellent film, I hope you can get it seen all over, I have no doubt that it will impact people powerfully, like it did me. Thank you for all of your work.

  2. Just donated from Australia. Saw the video and had to help! Process very easy and secure. Well done you Madison mob, especially Amy.

    • Joanie:

Thank you so much for thinking of youth in Dane County.

For now both MRFY, and Youth Services have enough things on hand, but the day shelter on East Washington will take what you have.
